Finding self (Part 2)

It's been quite some time since we last spoke. I believe it was in April & here we are in September. It's been a really random 3 months. I am still in the Finish First program. Complying with all rules & working towards my security deposit. I like to say I'm moving right along. In May my partner came back from New Jersey & boy did I need to see him! The first week or so went smoothly. Then there were bumps in the road & somehow we ended up falling in a ditch. During this time my God son came to visit from Philadelphia. He fell in love with Venice Beach & stayed 3weeks upon finding himself a job on the beach. He came to understand that if your moving to another state it's best to have a plan. He went back to Philadelphia with the ambition to return.

This is stressful to write but I owe ya'll a new part of the LA story. I am completely stressed out but it's good stress these days. Let's talk about it! Being in the Finish First Program, every time I wake up I know that this mission I'm on is bigger than me. I graduated from Loyola Marymount University on June 29th as a Certified Youth Peer Specialist & I passed the 120 question state certification test as well. Now I'm a California state certified youth peer specialist. I interviewed for a couple of peer specialist positions & some other random positions because I've been feeling a little desperate. I'm still working my cleaning job but it's not sustainable. I feel within myself that I need to be patient. I've been having a lot of fun as well. Healthy fun is important to me because it gives me the outlet that I need to keep a healthy self-care balance in my life.

I still take myself on dates we've been to the movies at the https://thegrovela.com/ it's a really nice place to hang out beware it's super expensive. Not by much but don't go there with less than $100 lol. N-e-ways I saw Mad Max Furiosa & Kingdom of The Planet of the Apes. A couple days later I went to get a full body hot stone massage at https://nbgad2022.wixsite.com/wharf-spa-ca the Wharf Spa when I tell you it was the best massage I ever had in my life, chile it truly was. This little lady climbed on my back & massaged me with her thighs if you can picture that.  Then I went & hung out on Hollywood Blvd again & had a lot of fun in the Netflix store & the $5 souvenir store next to https://www.madametussauds.com/hollywood/ Madame Tussauds super dope wax museum. It was awesome! I always go to the best places to eat, I'll list my favorite LA restaurants in another post. My favorite movie theater is https://www.cinepolisusa.com/our-theaters/g01u0-cinepolis-inglewood-imax/ Cinepolis Inglewood IMAX theater, it's really nice there & I enjoy myself when I go. I saw Inside Out 2 it was everything.

I've been a lot of other places too but I can't fully remember right now but we'll talk about it later because LA honey is the place to be especially if you know how to hustle. Let's talk about the drama now

(Long Sigh) I'm going to first start by saying this none of this makes any since to me so since you've been following maybe you can make since out of it. So the car was repossessed now my partner is super homeless & I'm not about to be in the streets with him. You know what the situation is so... that I don't even want to talk about it. I'mm just say sometimes we make mistakes & in the end I'm going to have to pay for it. I always get left holding the bag when it comes to men. I'm over it though, I'm pissed but through it all I take care of what I need to take care of.

On Monday September 16th I landed a position with a youth drop in center & now I can proudly say I am a Youth Outreach Case Manager! I'm going to end with this, even tho parts of my life are definitely shot to hell & those situations will not be getting better, I am learning to live within my dumb decisions, patch up what I can with the intent of being more careful.

The Crystal (LA Story)

This is a crazy story & another one about someone trying to get in where they think they fit in.       I was at work, at my lil retail gig and this lady walks up to the counter and says that she is clairvoyant and that she can tell I am going through some things, I shouldn't be at that job because I'm better than that and that my face is supposed to be well known. She said there are some other things that she would like to tell me. She gave me her card and asked me to come down to her shop and get my free palm reading. I know spiritual energy is real and she did touch on somethings that made me think maybe going to see her wouldn't be a complete waste of time.      A couple days later I made the appointment and went to her shop. She read my Palm, said some things that I've heard before & then asked me to pick a crystal. I picked a heart shaped one and she stated as long as I had the crystal I will start feeling better. I know that these sessions aren'

Surviving LA part II

As the LA housing search continues...      We found ourselves on the streets & out of money for a couple weeks due to the Beverly Hills swindle & the cost of staying in hotels. On day one on the streets, we both worked a night shift and spent the day sleeping in our storage unit, Day 2 was the Santa Monica/Venice beach night, sleeping in our tent & fighting a serious wind till the morning. On day 3 we fought with the wind again more severe in our tent at the Venice Graffiti walls on the beach & lost. We dramatically packed up fighting the wind the whole way & ended up camping not too far away in Penmar park. The good thing about this was that they had a bathroom available.       The hauk was out too that night it was so cold, I thought I was gonna die from hypothermia. I don't even know how I made it through the night. All I know is that I was not prepared for this! The universe carried me into day 4 & we both again worked the night shift. I worked from 10
