Remember book reports when we were in school? For some they were a dreaded terrible thing, for others they were fun ways to recall your favorite book and an easy format to tell someone what the book was about. I've decided to post some reports of the books I've read; let's jump right in.
My son recommended that I read this book. Usually his recommendations come with great results. It took me a while to actually sit down and read this one, it's written in comic book form. That's not why it took me a while, lol I was just preoccupied with other parts of life. You know how it gets when you try to sit and read sometimes. I finally got to it and loved it; I wanted to keep it but I've decided this work of art should be passed on it is a really good story.
Author: Bryan Lee O'Malley
Title: Lost at Sea
Main Characters: Steph, Raleigh, Dave & Ian
Setting: Majority of the story takes place in a car with Raleigh and her friends driving across America.
Plot: Raleigh has just turned 18 and is road tripping home to Canada with some other students from school that she doesn't really know too well, while there she deeply reflects on her life & where it seems to be headed in the future.
Personal Endorsement: This book was really enjoyable for me because I am a person that often self reflects. Sometimes I can turn off the world around me and go right inside my head. Raleigh began to analyze her life from as far back as she could remember.
I would definitely recommend this book to anyone age maybe 10 or over, it has a really strong message & it contains some really cool animation.
