Surviving LA Part VII

I can write when I'm frustrated & annoyed as a matter of fact that's usually my favorite times to write. Not for this blog tho my spirit says that this is meant to share EXPERIENCE, STRENGTH & FAITH. I was going to write this two days ago but I decided to put it off until I felt better mentally to explain to you what's going on; as not to sound like a victim of life & it's crazy tactics matched with humans & their decisions, not to exclude myself cuz, I'm only human right😅

Now I told you guys that we made an executive decision to get out of the expensive ass AirBnB loop & buy a car so that we could build our credit for the apartment & move in with the homie for a second. Well my my my how fast things change. Two days after the car purchase hubby's tolerance with the security job was reached & he was laid off until another contract opens up. We managed to stay with the homie for about a week before chaos ensued. Hubby was supposed to give him $500 for the month of July on July 5th when he got paid & of course Murphy's law came right down upon us. I'mma just say that I always thought his job was out of pocket for the way they chose to do things.

The whole time we lived in the AirBnB the job actually surprised me by paying him on time & giving him mad hours. It seems like as soon as we brought the car things changed so fast & not particularly for the best, but not the worse either. Now we find ourselves living in the car, by this time I was mentally drained so hubby took me to visit some of his family. We had been there before, his Bfam (brother from another mother) and his wife had a nice Bar-B-Q at their home for memorial day weekend last year. Their food was amazing; this day however we were stopping by to grab a quick shower & a hello.

This visit turned into more than a shower & a hello. His Bfam (brother from another mother) raises & rolls pigeons I had the chance to see them roll the last time we were over. This time I actually held a I'mma say teenaged pigeon. It was so pretty & warm, then I was able to hold two babies! I could feel the warmth of their little bodies in the palm of my hand as well as their little heart beats it was an amazing experience🥰 Later on that day he also literally made homemade Hash. I mean we sat through the most interactive Hash making workshop. It was hard to watch all that Mary Jane being soaked in water like that😳

The best part of this day was my nap; I still work overnight and on the days I work I need a 4hr nap to be able to maintain my day. Hubby's Bfam & wife allowed me to take a nap while they all went out to an Art show. I was a lil disappointed but the nap was more needed, oh wait I didn't tell you about the dogs. They have two dogs the big one that they keep in a kennel when company is over & a cute lil furry old one that used to belong to the Bfam's mother before she passed away. When everyone left the little cute old dog started crying & it caused the big dog to start barking. I looked at the lil cute old dog and said in a soft sweet voice

" Old man, now you done seen your people leave out that door & come back in it for years. You'sa old timer, you know they're coming back. Don't rile up your homie because he can't see you and he may think you have a problem & can't get to you, It's ok you're gonna be fine here with me."

He came over and sniffed me real good seemed satisfied and went & laid back down. I have to say I was amazed that worked & to sleep I went. That evening I had an amazing night at work & all was well. I'll keep you posted on what happens next. The journey for a home in beautiful Southern California is far from over but we are determined. Each day I feel more & more of my spirit returning to a place I long forgot about within myself.

This photo came from the Bfam, I should've took a photo of the Pigeon babies but I was too amazed by the experience!

The Crystal (LA Story)

This is a crazy story & another one about someone trying to get in where they think they fit in.       I was at work, at my lil retail gig and this lady walks up to the counter and says that she is clairvoyant and that she can tell I am going through some things, I shouldn't be at that job because I'm better than that and that my face is supposed to be well known. She said there are some other things that she would like to tell me. She gave me her card and asked me to come down to her shop and get my free palm reading. I know spiritual energy is real and she did touch on somethings that made me think maybe going to see her wouldn't be a complete waste of time.      A couple days later I made the appointment and went to her shop. She read my Palm, said some things that I've heard before & then asked me to pick a crystal. I picked a heart shaped one and she stated as long as I had the crystal I will start feeling better. I know that these sessions aren'

Surviving LA part II

As the LA housing search continues...      We found ourselves on the streets & out of money for a couple weeks due to the Beverly Hills swindle & the cost of staying in hotels. On day one on the streets, we both worked a night shift and spent the day sleeping in our storage unit, Day 2 was the Santa Monica/Venice beach night, sleeping in our tent & fighting a serious wind till the morning. On day 3 we fought with the wind again more severe in our tent at the Venice Graffiti walls on the beach & lost. We dramatically packed up fighting the wind the whole way & ended up camping not too far away in Penmar park. The good thing about this was that they had a bathroom available.       The hauk was out too that night it was so cold, I thought I was gonna die from hypothermia. I don't even know how I made it through the night. All I know is that I was not prepared for this! The universe carried me into day 4 & we both again worked the night shift. I worked from 10
