Life is building a Resume ( Part V)

 The Carnival

In 2003 I joined the carnival 😂 Reithoffer Shows to be exact. It was the craziest decision I ever made. It was definitely a memorable experience. It was me. my one year old son & his dad. I told this dude he had to get a job & we ended up, packing up & joining the carnival where I was able to become the Amazing Snake Lady for two weeks. The head of a beautiful woman with the body of a snake The original one got sick, they needed a replacement & asked me. Of course I took the job, it was .50 to see me & I made $800 in the two weeks I was there. I was also the girl that handed you the ball for the dunk the clown game. I even ran this game called pick a duck win a prize, I had to yell that all day too! I had a lil daycare in one of the trailer houses for the carnie children, boy did I love that. I assisted with ride set up & tear down, it was an amazing experience 😁

Being a direct care aide

I don't remember the year I did this, as a matter of fact I did it twice once when I was working at Boston Market and once when I was working for GPHA. The first time tho lord was it a mess. I worked for this man that was Paralyzed on his right side. The job was to wash him, feed him & do lite house keeping. Now all that would've been fine if he wasn't in his room smoking crack when I came in, in the morning. On top of that he would also ask for sexual favors, I wasn't cool with any of that; I told him so & he fired me! I put up with that shit for four weeks. Oh yeah & how he fired me was crazy too. After I told him about himself, the next morning when I came in there was another nurse to replace me. I thought to myself "Damn already, I just left 1pm yesterday! She looked at me & smirked & said, "shit what one won't do another will."

The other direct care aide job I has was years later and was not as dramatic but it was wild too. In the end I helped a woman sell her home that badly needed to while being her direct care aide and peer specialist.

Exotic Dancer

From 18 to 23 I took on the role of an exotic dancer. The thought came from watching that damn Sally Jessie Raphael when I was 14. Then when I was 16 I actually met some and chilled with them. I wanted to go so bad but they didn't let me until I was 18. There were some amazing moments, fun travels, crazy moments, intense wild situations. I have been retired for 14 years, I think about it a lot & I still love to dance but I grew up and took a different route. Much love to all my Exotic Dancers out there, stay safe & express passion for life!

  1. Bruh you joined the Carnival! Wow lol I wonder if it's that easy to join these days. I would've never thought of that & even if I did I probably wouldn't have had the courage to take my family and go. My girl would've looked at me like I was crazy for even suggesting something like that.

We're not in LA N-E-More XII

My phone is fixed! It was broke for about two weeks, I kinda broke it myself out of frustration & it was right before Christmas. So that meant no Christmas, New years or any Holiday pics. I was a little sad at first that I couldn't post on social media but after a while I found peace in enjoying activities & not worrying about pictures or footage. I visited my son for Christmas in Upstate NY for two days, Then I went to visit my God mom for a couple days dropped her off some gifts. I went to visit my God children & my God granddaughter that was fun. My God grand daughter is two years old and my God daughter & God son asked her if she wanted to sing head shoulders, knees & toes. She said no but they decided to sing it anyway to see if she would get into it. She didn't & after they finished the song all enthusiastically this little girl with her little baby voice said " Nobody asked for all that!" My husband & I busted out laughing ...

Surviving LA part II

As the LA housing search continues...      We found ourselves on the streets & out of money for a couple weeks due to the Beverly Hills swindle & the cost of staying in hotels. On day one on the streets, we both worked a night shift and spent the day sleeping in our storage unit, Day 2 was the Santa Monica/Venice beach night, sleeping in our tent & fighting a serious wind till the morning. On day 3 we fought with the wind again more severe in our tent at the Venice Graffiti walls on the beach & lost. We dramatically packed up fighting the wind the whole way & ended up camping not too far away in Penmar park. The good thing about this was that they had a bathroom available.       The hauk was out too that night it was so cold, I thought I was gonna die from hypothermia. I don't even know how I made it through the night. All I know is that I was not prepared for this! The universe carried me into day 4 & we both again worke...
