The Realtor (LA Story)

Hubby and I were surfing the internet looking for apartments when we signed up on an apartment website, the crazy thing is I'm not sure which site we joined because all of them want you to join, that lead us to this amazing realtor. She was like a case manager!      Upon leaving Philadelphia my son said that he wouldn't come but would keep the apartment until we decided to come back. Life happened & my son loss the apartment. I'm not angry or disappointed in him, if you knew the story you'd agree it wasn't his fault. That left us in a rather interesting situation we were now homeless, if we went back & I didn't want to go back,  we were making more money out here but trying to save a security deposit while paying $2500.00 a month for AirBnB's & hotels was absolutely  insane.     We've been in Cali a year & a half and this housing situation was becoming very mentally draining at least for me. I looked at our finances & hopped on t

LA Street Tacos

LA has no shortage of tacos let me tell you! There are two spots that I absolutely love tho. I've learned that no matter how many taco stands there are none of the tacos taste the same🧐      The first one we'll talk about is the one that pulls up on 6th and Rose in Venice. It's a taco truck and they sell the regular taco (chicken) for just $2. Omg the taste is amazing & don't let me get started on how they pack one taco so full of goodness that u can make two! How great is that for $2 you basically get 2 tacos & the best part is I was definitely full & then I  headed up the street to CVS and grabbed a $1 Arizona iced tea. I accomplished having a $3 & some change lunch in LA, good times 😁 If your ever up that way grab one you won't be disappointed.     The next stand that I love is located behind the Ralph's on Wilshire Blvd on the corner of Brentwood. Let me tell you how much I love it. I love it so much that I'm addicted & I know

Life is building a Resume ( Part V)

The Carnival       In 2003 I joined the carnival 😂 Reithoffer Shows to be exact. It was the craziest decision I ever made. It was definitely a memorable experience. It was me. my one year old son & his dad. I told this dude he had to get a job & we ended up, packing up & joining the carnival where I was able to become the Amazing Snake Lady for two weeks. The head of a beautiful woman with the body of a snake The original one got sick, they needed a replacement & asked me. Of course I took the job, it was .50 to see me & I made $800 in the two weeks I was there. I was also the girl that handed you the ball for the dunk the clown game. I even ran this game called pick a duck win a prize, I had to yell that all day too! I had a lil daycare in one of the trailer houses for the carnie children, boy did I love that. I assisted with ride set up & tear down, it was an amazing experience 😁 Being a direct care aide      I don't remember the year I did this, as a

The Crystal (LA Story)

This is a crazy story & another one about someone trying to get in where they think they fit in.       I was at work, at my lil retail gig and this lady walks up to the counter and says that she is clairvoyant and that she can tell I am going through some things, I shouldn't be at that job because I'm better than that and that my face is supposed to be well known. She said there are some other things that she would like to tell me. She gave me her card and asked me to come down to her shop and get my free palm reading. I know spiritual energy is real and she did touch on somethings that made me think maybe going to see her wouldn't be a complete waste of time.      A couple days later I made the appointment and went to her shop. She read my Palm, said some things that I've heard before & then asked me to pick a crystal. I picked a heart shaped one and she stated as long as I had the crystal I will start feeling better. I know that these sessions aren'

Money I've found in LA (LA Story)

Lost & found, is this a complex issue? My answer is no if you find money with no name or anything attached to it what is one to do, shout out "hey anyone lose $100?" How many people do you think would respond to that?  So I've been in LA for 1 year and 1/2, I've found my share of things but the most interesting is the money & coins. I haven't found enough money to blow your mind, but enough to be slightly interested; at least I think so. With that here's all the Mula I've found in LA, should I say so far? I feel like I should say so far. So I am, All the Money I've found in LA so far!    First is t hat time I found a paper bank envelope in a restaurant bathroom, I was looking like, hummm.... what do I do here; I went to the bathroom and then took it when I left out. What was I supposed to do, be out there like, excuse me did someone lose a bank envelope? I sat on the patio ate my food and didn't notice anyone back tracking looking for any
