The Places I've traveled Part 4

My trip to Connecticut was wild... Let me tell you the story of how I ended up there. One day in 2018 a senior client of mine came into my office for help. This is back when I was a Peer Specialist, she told me about a trip to Connecticut, to be in the audience of the Steve Wilko's show that her senior home put together. She stated that anyone could go because they were renting a bus and it was only $3. Chile I made sure me & a friends name was on that list and off to the Steve Wilko's audience we went. Boy did we have a great time those older people were wild!

Brockton Massachusetts was a stop that was made while I was traveling with  Reithoffer Shows. The carnival was set up on the race track. This is where I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. The father & I wanted to keep it quiet but could not because I had to buy the pregnancy test from the only store on our set, any other one would've been way too far. To make matters worse I had to take the test in a porter potty! There were no standard bathrooms on site. I only took it because my grand-mom called & said somebody was pregnant because she dreamed of fish & it was either me or a specific cousin she named. Come to find out it was lil ole me baby #2.

Reithoffer Shows stopped a lot of places on their trek from Philly to Miami. Only a few stood out for me that I have clear memories about. In Georgia I was the amazing snake lady, the head of a beautiful woman with the body of an ugly snake. It was an optical illusion, I did it for a week because the original woman was sick. I had to sit with my head through a hole in the floor, in a comfortable chair. I had a bunch of wigs, people would ask how my hair got done? I told them a stylist comes everyday to do it. It was a lot of fun and scary when people became racist & tried to spit on me or throw water on me because I was black & the original lady was white. All in all it was a great time, it was .50 to see me & I made $800 that week! Wish I had pictures of that! I never made it to Miami I had to go home to deliver my daughter her father went all the way tho. Oh yeah I almost forgot about the road trip I took with my God mother and her friends. Too much happened to talk about on that ride to Georgia & after we arrived.

Florida, Colorado, & California are last on the list for now

We're not in LA N-E-More XII

My phone is fixed! It was broke for about two weeks, I kinda broke it myself out of frustration & it was right before Christmas. So that meant no Christmas, New years or any Holiday pics. I was a little sad at first that I couldn't post on social media but after a while I found peace in enjoying activities & not worrying about pictures or footage. I visited my son for Christmas in Upstate NY for two days, Then I went to visit my God mom for a couple days dropped her off some gifts. I went to visit my God children & my God granddaughter that was fun. My God grand daughter is two years old and my God daughter & God son asked her if she wanted to sing head shoulders, knees & toes. She said no but they decided to sing it anyway to see if she would get into it. She didn't & after they finished the song all enthusiastically this little girl with her little baby voice said " Nobody asked for all that!" My husband & I busted out laughing ...

Surviving LA part II

As the LA housing search continues...      We found ourselves on the streets & out of money for a couple weeks due to the Beverly Hills swindle & the cost of staying in hotels. On day one on the streets, we both worked a night shift and spent the day sleeping in our storage unit, Day 2 was the Santa Monica/Venice beach night, sleeping in our tent & fighting a serious wind till the morning. On day 3 we fought with the wind again more severe in our tent at the Venice Graffiti walls on the beach & lost. We dramatically packed up fighting the wind the whole way & ended up camping not too far away in Penmar park. The good thing about this was that they had a bathroom available.       The hauk was out too that night it was so cold, I thought I was gonna die from hypothermia. I don't even know how I made it through the night. All I know is that I was not prepared for this! The universe carried me into day 4 & we both again worke...
