The Places I've traveled Part 3

Darby Pennsylvania, I don't know why I took the time out to mention Darby. As I type this I really don't know. Darby sits right outside Philadelphia, I spent a lot of time out there mostly during my homeless faze living with friends. As far as I'm concerned there really isn't anything exciting that happens there. It's also close to my favorite part of Philadelphia which is South West Philadelphia it's always some positive fun to get into out there. In Darby there is also a huge raw African presence, I say that with the upmost respect. I feel like living there was an introduction to life in Africa in America. Everyone was always nice and willing to teach me a lot if I asked and they cooked some pretty good food. It sucks that I'm allergic to fish and seafood because most of their best dishes are made with it.

Off to Altoona Pa, this was a really fun trip. Well it wasn't a trip at all it was a conference with my Job when I worked for a clinic in Philadelphia. I was a Certified Peer Specialist and we participated in a mental health and wellness conference located in the Altoona Grand Hotel. It was a nice trip Me, my supervisor, my mentor & a couple other people from the Peer Specialist family attended. We were there for two days and were given stipends for food. I was the only one that brought my swimsuit, my supervisor talking about how did I know to do that? I told him I went online a researched the hotel before we came. He laughed & said oh yeah the internet & walked away. Funny story, so you guys know I smokes the ganja, well of course this was a non smoking event. So at night I dressed in all black went high into the mountains & and hid in the trees and smoked my L. Funny thing was the security smelled it because I saw them down below in their lil golf carts trying to find out where it was coming from. I laughed so hard they were not going to find me. I did this for two days it was the best and I only smoked at night. It was a beautiful drive into the mountains of Altoona and I'm glad I was able to experience it.

Harrisburg PA, I visited Harrisburg which is the Capitol of Pennsylvania. I've been there for different types of protest involving human rights and that time a friend and I visited Hershey's Chocolate World. That was a very fun experience. It is a great time for people of all ages the friend I went with was 75yrs old and I was about 36 & we had a wonderful time. I even brought back a lot of gifts for family and friends. I can't wait until I'm able to return, there were a couple of things I wanted to do that I didn't get to do that I will do next time.

We're not in LA N-E-More XII

My phone is fixed! It was broke for about two weeks, I kinda broke it myself out of frustration & it was right before Christmas. So that meant no Christmas, New years or any Holiday pics. I was a little sad at first that I couldn't post on social media but after a while I found peace in enjoying activities & not worrying about pictures or footage. I visited my son for Christmas in Upstate NY for two days, Then I went to visit my God mom for a couple days dropped her off some gifts. I went to visit my God children & my God granddaughter that was fun. My God grand daughter is two years old and my God daughter & God son asked her if she wanted to sing head shoulders, knees & toes. She said no but they decided to sing it anyway to see if she would get into it. She didn't & after they finished the song all enthusiastically this little girl with her little baby voice said " Nobody asked for all that!" My husband & I busted out laughing ...

Surviving LA part II

As the LA housing search continues...      We found ourselves on the streets & out of money for a couple weeks due to the Beverly Hills swindle & the cost of staying in hotels. On day one on the streets, we both worked a night shift and spent the day sleeping in our storage unit, Day 2 was the Santa Monica/Venice beach night, sleeping in our tent & fighting a serious wind till the morning. On day 3 we fought with the wind again more severe in our tent at the Venice Graffiti walls on the beach & lost. We dramatically packed up fighting the wind the whole way & ended up camping not too far away in Penmar park. The good thing about this was that they had a bathroom available.       The hauk was out too that night it was so cold, I thought I was gonna die from hypothermia. I don't even know how I made it through the night. All I know is that I was not prepared for this! The universe carried me into day 4 & we both again worke...
