The places I traveled Part 1

The reason I write this is because I've started a new chapter in my life. I am now considering myself a traveler & I wanted to recored all the places I've been so far, either what brought me there or just what I thought of my surroundings. I was born & raised in Philly -aka- Philadelphia which is in  Pennsylvania, so we'll start there.

The home of Philly, so since I was born & raised there I know the place pretty well, almost like the back of my hand. I lived in a place called Germantown most of my life. I've lived in the same house on the same corner of the same block for 18yrs. After that I lived a lot of places in Philly. I traveled around while I was there. In the late 90's I used to love to roller skate at this place called WOW, I also enjoyed being Downtown I've seen all the sights, either alone or with friends. South West was always popping, I enjoyed my time in Philly and hope u do too if you ever decide to visit. It's not as horrible as some may say, every place has unhinged people.

Let's talk New Jersey, I've been to a lot of places in this state. I've been to Camden mostly for events & because my father's family is from there. The NJ state aquarium isn't far from there either, it's nice & worth a visit. Then there's Glassboro NJ this is where my cousin & his boyfriend used to live. It was so much fun going to visit them. I absolutely love The Wildwoods in NJ it just might be my favorite place in America, the beach, the boardwalk, the food ooooh baby! I've been quite a few times. My goal is to stay at every hotel down there lol, why, I don't know. Can't forget about AC, Atlantic City NJ, this is another beach city. My favorite thing to do there is there is driving the Go-Karts, I try to do it every time I go. There's a restaurant called Kelsey's has great food & Live music. Me & my God mother had a blast at Harrah's Resort for her birthday. I've had some romantic experiences there as well. In Burlington NJ I visited my mother in law & hubby gave me a lil tour of his childhood places. They have a lot of land & beautiful well kept neighborhoods. I've also hung out in Trenton NJ at Jersey Weed Man's spot. This spot when not crowded is a great place to eat, listen to some music, dance and blow it down! You don't even need a medical marijuana card. The history of Jersey Weed Man is lit too look it up some time. There was also this place my son and I also used to go to every year called The Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market which was always a fun time.

She also had this wild Ghost Buster pair that I just had to have.

Off to Ocean City Maryland, Ocean city is a beach town too. They have this club called Secrets. It is so dope there and a must visit if you go. I've been there quite a few times as well; in fact that's where I took my first real vacation. It was 4 days in a Beach house with my homie and his family. Next we have Baltimore Maryland, I've been there twice. The first time I went alone on a self care journey for four days. I had a blast by myself of course I called the homies to let them know I was good & we chit chatted sometimes. I ran around that city for 4 days by myself & enjoyed every moment of it. It wasn't too much different than Philly. The second time I went, I went with my son & his father. We went to the Black Wax Museum, the Baltimore aquarium which was breath taking and so huge. We also hung out and ate lunch on the Baltimore Harbor. It really was a pretty cool day.

We'll talk about Delaware, New York & Virginia in the next post!

The Crystal (LA Story)

This is a crazy story & another one about someone trying to get in where they think they fit in.       I was at work, at my lil retail gig and this lady walks up to the counter and says that she is clairvoyant and that she can tell I am going through some things, I shouldn't be at that job because I'm better than that and that my face is supposed to be well known. She said there are some other things that she would like to tell me. She gave me her card and asked me to come down to her shop and get my free palm reading. I know spiritual energy is real and she did touch on somethings that made me think maybe going to see her wouldn't be a complete waste of time.      A couple days later I made the appointment and went to her shop. She read my Palm, said some things that I've heard before & then asked me to pick a crystal. I picked a heart shaped one and she stated as long as I had the crystal I will start feeling better. I know that these sessions aren'

Surviving LA part II

As the LA housing search continues...      We found ourselves on the streets & out of money for a couple weeks due to the Beverly Hills swindle & the cost of staying in hotels. On day one on the streets, we both worked a night shift and spent the day sleeping in our storage unit, Day 2 was the Santa Monica/Venice beach night, sleeping in our tent & fighting a serious wind till the morning. On day 3 we fought with the wind again more severe in our tent at the Venice Graffiti walls on the beach & lost. We dramatically packed up fighting the wind the whole way & ended up camping not too far away in Penmar park. The good thing about this was that they had a bathroom available.       The hauk was out too that night it was so cold, I thought I was gonna die from hypothermia. I don't even know how I made it through the night. All I know is that I was not prepared for this! The universe carried me into day 4 & we both again worked the night shift. I worked from 10
